Congratulations to our colleague Asem Isagali!

The staff of the Data Centre is delighted to congratulate Isagali Asem Aidarkyzy, a junior research scientist, on winning first place at the XXV Conference and Competition for Research and Development Projects by Young Scientists and Specialists.  She presented a paper on the use of IGR NNC RK seismic stations data to study the seismic hazard in the Shulbinskaya HPP area. We wish Asem further success in her scientific work, achievements in her research and great personal happiness!

             The XXV conference and competition for research and development projects by young scientists and specialists has concluded at the National Nuclear Centre of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Over three days – from 20 to 22 May 2026 – the event brought together talented young scientists from Kazakhstan’s nuclear industry.

             This year, the competition once again confirmed that the most promising ideas are born out of open professional dialogue. Young staff from organizations in the nuclear sector (the National Nuclear Centre, the Institute of Nuclear Physics, JSC  “Kazatomprom”), as well as from Kazakhstani and Russian universities (Al-Farabi Kazakh National University; Shakarim University, Tomsk Polytechnic University) presented the results of their scientific research and development to their peers and an expert jury.

The focus is on cutting-edge research and practical developments in the fields of reactor technology, radiation and seismic safety, digital solutions, and other topical areas of science. Many of the projects undertaken by young professionals already show great potential for practical implementation.

Expert discussions and a lively exchange of experiences between generations of scientists added a special atmosphere to the competition.

The conference served as an effective platform for sharing knowledge, discussing current scientific and technical challenges, and forging new professional connections that contribute to the development of human resources within the nuclear industry.

The National Nuclear Centre of the Republic of Kazakhstan would like to thank all participants and experts for their productive work, the high standard of the projects presented, and their willingness to engage in joint initiatives.
