“Aktyubinsk” seismic station (AS059, AKTO)

An auxiliary seismic station of the International Monitoring System (IMS) “Aktyubinsk” AS-059 (AKTO) is located in the south-east part of Tassay settlement, Chromtayu region, Aktyubinsk area. Geological structure of the siteis the following: the sensor is installed in a borehole of the equipment vault, on the top of a hill composed of diorite. Diorites made up a small dykeform body breaking Silurian habbro-amphibolite.

Seismic sensor at the station - CMG-3TB of Guralp Company is installed in a borehole at 65 m depth. Recording instruments are 24-bit ADC Europa-T (Nanometrics). Sample rate: 40 samples/sec/channel. Seismic data are digitized according to GPS. The station was certified by the IMS commission on November 10, 2005.

Response and phase characteristics of the installed seismometers are here.
