KNDC seismic station

KNDC seismic station is located on the territory of the Center for Acquisition and Processing of the Special Seismic Information. A seismic sensor and recording instruments are installed in the basement. The station is located on thick sediment rocks within the city. Data received in real time are used for prompt processing of large events occurred at Almaty region.
A seismic sensor of the station – STS2 is installed on a specially constructed pedestal. Recording instruments – 24-bit ADC CMG-DM24S3 – is installed near the sensor. Sample rate: 40 samples/sec/channel for all channels. Seismic data are digitized according to GPS. Seismic data are processed by standard personal computer and transferred to the Acquisition Center via local network
